Dean Perryman is the founder of Empty Chairs, a grassroots movement tackling loneliness by encouraging people to meet in public spaces for informal and open conversation.

Empty Chairs began after Dean lost his best friend Rob to suicide. What started as one person sitting in a pub wearing orange, hoping to give someone a reason to talk, has grown into a volunteer-led movement with events across the UK and beyond.
