With a career spanning over 30 years, Chris has become a well-regarded and trusted figure in the hospitality sector, known for his respected leadership and deep-rooted passion for pubs. He has worked across a wide range of organisations including listed companies, private businesses, family-run firms, and charities, bringing a thoughtful, people focused and collaborative approach to each role.

Chris is currently CEO of the Licensed Trade Charity and Non-Executive Director at Frederic Robinson Ltd. His journey in the industry began in the early 1990s after graduating from university, with formative roles at Whitbread and Greenalls PLC. Since then, he has held several senior positions, including CEO of Wadworth, Managing Director of Spirit Group, and Operations Director at Greene King Pub Partners. He also brought his expertise to the tech and insights space as Chief Commercial Officer at S4labour and Non-Executive Chair of KAM Insights Ltd.

Chris has always had a strong commitment to the broader hospitality community, reflected in his previous advisory role with the British Institute of Innkeeping (BII) and as a Non-Executive Director of the BII Awarding Body. Most recently, he tackled a 230km cycling challenge around the Lake District for Pedalling 2 Pubs raising money for beneficiaries of LTC and OAPA.
