Andrew Crawford is Managing Director of Pub People, an independent, private equity-backed pub operating company with a growing estate of around 40 freehold community pubs across the East Midlands and South Yorkshire.

Andrew has over 30 years experience working in the pub and hospitality sector, developing a particular passion for well-run community pubs that combine great local beer, quality food and a strong connection with their local communities. Under his leadership, Pub People has pursued a strategy of investing in its pubs, its people and its customer proposition, while continuing to identify opportunities for growth through acquisitions. Andrew has extensive experience across the operational and commercial aspects of running a multi-site pub business, including property investment, acquisitions, people management, procurement, energy costs and developing sustainable, long-term profitable trading strategies.

He is particularly interested in the challenges facing independent and regional pub operators, from rising costs and changing consumer behaviour to recruitment, investment and the opportunities presented by consolidation within the sector.

As Managing Director, Andrew remains closely involved in the day-to-day development of Pub People and is committed to ensuring that the traditional British community pub continues to have a strong and sustainable future.
