Our next event, taking place in Oxford on the 2 October, has now had its agenda confirmed. With expert speakers lined up from operations including Sixes, Loungers, Liberation Group and Roxy's, this event is set to provide inspiration on how pubs can craft more unique experiential offerings.

We’ll be taking a look at award winning design, the competitive socialising scene and hearing from some top operators on how they see the market and what innovations people are to create new opportunities and revenue streams.

  A local operator will give a flavour of what the Oxford pub and bar scene have to offer.

• Legislative Update

  Steve Alton, CEO of the BII gives an insight into what is shaping up with the new Government, what we need to expect, and what the trade bodies are pushing for.

• Innovation Session

  Two or three ten minute Q&As with operators doing fun and unique things in their establishments, including:

  • Adrian Emmett – Opening new revenue streams with Tik Tok
  • Jesse Dunford Wood – Film themed menu nights
  • Joe Buckley - The Tolly and crowdfunding

• Competitive Socialising Panel

  What does the future hold when it comes to competitive socialising? Hear from representatives from Sixes and Roxy's on where they see the category going.
  

• Experiential Design

  With competition hotting up, it’s never been more important to give customers reasons to come, and design is key. Leading hospitality designer Sally Anne McCoy shares some key insights on how you can create a wow-factor.
  

• State of the Nation / Confidence Session

  Jonathan Lawson of Liberation Group and Tom Davies of Brakspear will be talking about how they’re seeing the market
  

• Lounging About

  With a new opening every 10 days, Loungers expansion plans and success are setting the bar high. Chief executive Nick Collins will discuss what’s driving that outstanding performance, and how, despite the challenges the sector faces, they show no sign of slowing down.

• Also featuring a table workshop session, alongside a talk from students on how exactly they view pubs and bars in the modern day.
